Hope

Adoption is full of hoping...

We were hoping to be with our daughter on her 3rd birthday...
hoping all the delays would hurry up...
hoping to be getting her during the summer...
hoping we do not have to miss any more holidays with her.

Our 5th hearing in India is tonight while we sleep. Please pray this is the one! Pray we pass with written orders. Pray we will be with our baby girl so soon!!

We are praying God shows His glory and power in India tonight!!

This picture was taken from our back deck on 8.14.17 💗💗💗

Court Hearing #4

Tonight is our 4th court hearing in India.

Our agency heard from their in-country representative on Wednesday morning. We do have a new judge, which is not a strange occurrence for India. Our agency said it sounds like this judge has never heard a foreign adoption case and is having to be educated on the process. I know from stalking the court website that there is a family from Italy that has had the same court dates and even judge change as us. So hopefully the judge has been educated and is ready to pass us both!

Families that have passed court in Mary-Lynn's state, so far in 2017, have had anywhere from 3-10 hearings. Written orders seem to be on average about 2 weeks later. The orphanage director has to have the written orders to apply for Mary-Lynn's passport and get her birth certificate. The passport can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks. So even if we pass court tonight there could still be some more waiting.

I like to have the statistics, to be realistic in this process, but I still pray to the One that I know can work miracles and ask for those miracles!!

Please pray along with us that we will pass court tonight, with those written orders, and that her passport and birth certificate will come quickly!!

Thank you for praying with us! We are so ready to hop on a plane to India and have our baby girl in our arms!
