This post will mainly be pictures because I love pictures! ;)
We have done 3 yard sales to raise money for our adoption. We are SO thankful for all the donations!!! But we are also yard saled-out (is that a word!?) at this point. It is a lot of work!
Our first yard sale was at my parents' house. My poor daddy's birthday was spent with us taking over his house with all our stuff! My momma stayed up late and got up early with me to get it all set up. My sister helped sort out clothes and watch the boys. My mother-in-law helped watched Matthew, our 2 year old. They all helped us pack stuff back up that did not sell. I love my family and am so thankful for them!
Our second yard sale was at a sweet, sweet couple in our church's house in Emerald Mountain. They let us come set up the night before and then stuck it out with us through the whole yard sale. We are so thankful and appreciative to you both, Mrs. Joann and Mr. Donald!
Mrs. Joann sent us home with the balloons from their mailbox for the yard sale. She told us to pray as a family for baby sister and then let the balloons go. Eli wanted to write a message on his before sending it up, so we all decided to.
I kept mine and Matthew's balloons tied together just in case he let go of his during the prayer. But once we did let go ours got stuck on the powerline! Oh well! We said that would be a visual reminder to pray for baby sister!!
Our last yard sale was at Santuck Flea Market. We did not make near the money at it as we did the first two, but all the kittens have a home to go to in 2 weeks because of it! Score!!
Between our 3 yard sales and some online sales we have made $1,659.32!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to all who donated and helped!
I had a busy Mother's Day...these pictures are the best I could find of all 3 of my boys together yesterday.
I'm so grateful to be momma to these 3 boys and to baby sister who we haven't even met yet but is in our prayers daily!
We are waiting to hear from our social worker anytime now to get our home study set up! Please pray that goes well!!
